Summit - Privacy Policy
This policy covers the Summit iOS app by Can't Lose Software, LLC ("we," "us," "our"). It describes what data the app handles, where that data lives, and the choices you have. For the cantlosesoftware.com website itself, see the site privacy policy.
Your data stays on your device
Summit does not require an account. Your content, progress, settings, and anything else you record in the app are stored locally on your device. Reminders use local notifications scheduled on your device - nothing about them is transmitted to us.
Analytics and crash reports
To understand which features are used and to fix crashes, the app sends anonymized usage events and crash reports (via PostHog analytics). These contain things like feature taps, screen views, device model, and OS version. They do not contain your name, your health data, or the content you record in the app. We do not use them to build advertising profiles or track you across other companies' apps or websites.
No advertising
Summit contains no ad networks and does not track you across other apps or websites. It does not request the advertising identifier (IDFA).
Purchases
In-app purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details. Purchases can be restored on any device signed in to your Apple Account, and refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Data deletion
You can erase everything the app stores by deleting your data from within the app's settings, or by deleting the app itself. To ask us to delete analytics events associated with your device, email us at the address below.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including the EU/EEA under GDPR and California under CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal information, and to object to its processing. We do not sell or share personal information. To exercise any of these rights, email us and we will respond within 30 days.
Children
Summit is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
